This story was developed very early on in my Two-Minute Bible venture. Subsequent researches have convinced me I made two rather significant interpretive errors in the story. In my defense, I will say my story reflected what has been the dominant view since Augustine in the late fourth century. But just because it has long-since been the dominant view doesn’t make it the correct view. In episode 459 I revisit this text and provide a story more accurately representative of its ancient meaning.
